Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 can petite diced tomatoes 15 oz
  • 2 packages gnocchi 16 oz each
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup sour cream for topping
  • 1 cup black olives for topping
  • 1 cup green onions for topping

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Be sure to drain any excess fat to keep your dish from becoming greasy.
  • Add the taco seasoning to the beef, stirring well to combine. This step is crucial as it infuses the meat with that classic taco flavor.
  • Pour in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, and gnocchi. Stir gently and then cover the skillet. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the gnocchi is tender and the sauce has thickened. Remember to stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and continue heating until the cheese is melted and bubbly. This adds a delicious creaminess to your dish!
  • Serve the taco gnocchi in bowls or plates, and top with sour cream, black olives, and green onions for a fresh crunch. Feel free to customize your toppings with other favorites like jalapeños, avocado, or salsa.
