Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 12 pieces frozen potstickers or gyoza
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup carrot, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup green beans, cut
  • 1 cup broccoli, cut
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 10-12 frozen potstickers or gyoza
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 5-6 white button mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 20 green beans sliced in thirds
  • 1 large carrot thinly sliced on a bias
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • Sesame oil
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Sliced green onion for garnish

Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauc
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp cold water

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients and set aside.
  • Slice the carrot thinly on a bias, mushrooms, green beans in thirds, and cut broccoli into small florets.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add frozen potstickers and fry until the bottoms turn brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of water, cover, and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir gently and cook uncovered until water evaporates and potstickers are cooked.
  • Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sauté mushrooms and onions until brown, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove the mushrooms and onions from the skillet and set aside.
  • Add another tablespoon of sesame oil and then add broccoli; cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove and set aside.
  • Add a bit more olive oil to the skillet, then cook green beans and carrots for 3-4 minutes.
  • Return the broccoli, mushrooms, onions, and potstickers to the skillet with the green beans and carrots.
  • Stir in the sauce and cook until it thickens, about 2 minutes.
  • Serve hot with rice, and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions for extra flair.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the vegetables based on your preference or what's in season.
