Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ziti pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 oz diced tomatoes drained
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3.75 cups cheese blend (Parmesan, Fontina, Mozzarella)
  • 1 cup bread crumbs for topping

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Ziti pasta in a large pot according to the package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water and toss with oil to prevent sticking.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine marinara sauce, heavy cream, diced tomatoes, and sugar. Bring to a simmer and add cheese. Stir until bubbly and remove from heat.
  • Place cooked pasta in an oven-safe dish. Pour sauce over pasta, sprinkle cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
  • Broil until cheese is golden and bubbly, about 3-5 minutes. Garnish with grated parmesan before serving.

Notes

For a crispy topping, broil the dish for a few minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
