Ingredients
  

  • 500 g 1.1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup apricot preserves
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the apricot preserves, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Cook over low heat until the preserves melt and the sauce is smooth.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the cooked meatballs and pour the apricot glaze over them, stirring to coat evenly.
  • Cook the meatballs in the glaze for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve the spicy apricot glazed meatballs hot as a delicious appetizer or main dish.

Notes

Notes:
- For a milder version, reduce the amount of sriracha sauce.
- These meatballs can be served with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
